A very thoughtful poem which shows our own reflection of ourselves in dark thoughts alone can affect how we view ourselves out in the world.
Suggestion:
"Or red eyes you see.?" (I would remove the period before the question mark.)

A creepy situation is suggested in this short poem of yours. It seems that the lady is cornered in what seems to be an inescapable situation. Domestic violence, perhaps.
