Your poem makes my mouth water! As someone who loves to bake, I think that you have all of the right ingredients for a tastefully done poem that does justice to the deliciousness of pralines. The image and color choice really help give this poem a fun and festive feel.

Nice poem - good illustration of how to make pralines. never heard of Steens - glad you explained what it was. My husband's mom was from the south and boy could she make good candy. Her nut roll was amazing. And divinity. Anyway - enjoyed the poem.

A very well-written poem/recipe of pralines. I did not try this before but I certainly am going to look into this one, I like to make chocolate fudge with biscuits, it is always a winner here.

Wow these look very naughty and delicious and what a treat to eat these at Christmas or at anytime. I'm glad you mention how you pronounce 'Pralines' because we in England pronounce this word very differently. Great rhymes and a joy to read, love Dolly x

This is both a childhood memory and a clever poem. I got a kick out of the last line: Mom's New Orleans' Pralines! That is because I immediately saw MNOP, in alphabetical order and smiled. This poem also reminded me of my mother's former favorite ice cream flavor, pralines and cream. Very nicely related in a rhyme scheme that does not seem overwrought.
