This spiritual poem, The Son is Hot, makes the point that God is there whether we believe it or not. As much as we know there is a sun and it delivers heat, we should accept God's radiance and meaning for our lives.

There is an interesting play on words here in the title and later in the last line of the poem.
In line 5 'UNDERSTAND...AND SEEKS HIM.' I feel sure that should be UNDERSTANDS. After all you use the singular form of the word for the other verb seeks.
Apart from the above , this seems to me to a pretty good interpretation of the quoted biblical lines.
