I am glad things improved for you and you have a friend who helped and supported your writing. Writing is therapeutic and helps us to feel better. Best wishes.

SLM,
I wonder if most of us have felt this disjointed, sad emotional feeling when we put our writing down for a season. I know I have.
This was a poignant piece, but I'm so glad you've come round full circle.
Some notes, if I may?
1.) The circumstances caused me to (disband) my writing,
2.) The pain an(d) anger had no way to be released,
3.) The loyal friend talked with me and (helped) me see how important my writing was for peace.
4.) There is SO much space at the bottom that needs to be deleted?
Thanks so much and good luck!

I can tell you from my own experience that writing is therapy. It helps ease the mind from sorrows/troubles. It is the best therapy there is...so glad that you are writing and telling your story so others learn from you. If you write your own story then we don't meddle in your life. Which is a good thing.

I'm so glad you've found your way back and that a friend helped you with that. I also think that this would come across so much stronger if you wrote it in first person. All best. Ulla:)))

Yes writing is wonderful therapy and it is very difficult when circumstance prevents us from doing this, this is an excellent read and tribute to your friend, very well done and I hope you continue****kahpot

You realise the value of a true friend by what that friend has to offer. Friendship at a stage of a depressing time of life is most welcome and uplifting. Congratulations on your find.
Here are a few typos... there are more...
The circumstances caused the author to disbanded/to disband their/his (or is it her) writing, and focus on finding a place to survive and not die.
Every night as they/this author tried to sleep the desire to write keep/ kept calling.
it was their therapy for the soul/it was therapy for the soul

Thank you for your review and rating. I am making the changes that you suggested. I am also changing the their to her. Changing it to her because this is a story about me. Thank you for reading.

I'm glad you're back on your feet again. You've got a good friend.
I think this piece would be much more powerful if you re-wrote in in the first-person--I--instead of using 'the author'. Write it from your heart, as you. Please, give it a try.
Also, I think you mean 'aspiring writer' as opposed to 'inspiring', even though you are.
Peace, Lee
