So nice that you could attend Jim's daughter's graduation. How scary that she had those health problems! Great that her boyfriend's father knew a neurosurgeon but how did they know him if they were from Spain? Interesting! God provided!
Suggestions:
did I mention the snow birds. (use a question mark instead of a period)
moments before hand (beforehand)
work was way out of wack, (whack)

Thank you so much Helen for reading and reviewing. I made those corrections before I typed this. From what I understand Pancho's father is high up in his business, rather wealthy and knows a great many people through business and travels. Jim and Morgan's mother split up when she was about five and they lived locally until she was in her last year of high school when they moved to Florida from NC.

Down here we call them tourists! And they come in their droves. Not so much to escape the snow - that has its own crazies. They just about wait at the Lodge gates for the first man-made snowfall of the season. They'd ski on gravel if it were painted white. No these that we get are the retirees in their double sized camper vans, no real road sense, sunhats the size of tabletops, and the mobile held by mum snapping everything that moves with 'Oh's and Ah's and prods for dad to 'Look Bill a Local!!! On the ceremony I've been to a couple of Graduations and yes to everything the crowds, the packed auditorium, the thousands of black clad grads. Oh yes Ali. Kids and their total disregard for their health amaze me. They think they are bullet-proof. But by all accounts a great day was had by all. Love U Anne

Sooooo....you never said what degree she ultimately got (except that it wasn't the planned Marine Bio - lol!). So glad to hear everything worked out for her though! ;) Don't blame you on the pool -- a pool full of kiddos made me nervous back when my boys were young -- would definitely NOT want to navigate those waters now!;) :) LOL! Glad the fireworks of thousands went well and look forward to your next update -- thanx for sharing, ma'am!! ;) :) Yvette
P.S. Know I'm running way behind but midterms and else have been eating up the time.... plus, the Fall 'blahs' have taken hold so, I'm trying to spend more time outside! ;) :) Take care! ;)

Unlike midterms and teaching, reading and reviewing will always and should take second, third or even fourth base which I believe is home plate lol. Never stress my friend. Thanks you for reviewing Yvette.

Sounds like your way of life is working out. It hasn't kept you from being with family. In fact, it may help if they live in different parts of the country--a good excuse to choose your next destination as you enjoy your tour. :)

I was amused at the switch from marine biology, possibly the most oversubscribed course ever to business administration, which is more likely to lead to good employment. If she can overcome all those health set backs she must be a regular fighter.

Thank you Jim for reviewing, I believe part of her plan in Spain is to be part of a yoga, which she is great at and has an instructor permit.

Very enjoyable write, indeed, Alie. You've described everything to perfection. I'm glad to hear that Jim's daughter is okay and that the medical team were able to diagnose the problem.

My only suggestion is in the very beginning:
"Our goal was to bear witness to his (put Jim's here instead of his) daughter, the only daughter, graduating from college with a BA of Business Administration."

This is well penned and thoroughly engaging. I am so glad that health issues didn't prevent her graduation and did not negatively impact what appears to be the obligatory pre-nuptial approval visit LOL. Well done and thank you very much for sharing it.

I enjoy your travels my friend. When our girls were young we traveled a lot in our caravan, but when they grew up we turned that wanderlust to international travels to visiting foreign lands, we have developed friendships overseas and visit them frequently, well done, well written and fascinatingly done, blessing Roy

Thank you for sharing your thoughts through your story chapter. I did enjoy reading it. Two suggestions I might make: 1) do not use lol in a story. It is for texting and some people may not know what it means. 2) I would also not use FYI, spell it out if necessary.

This is a little rambling, but enjoyable nonetheless. I hear your authentic voice.

Couple of suggestions.

I think it's a " graduation ceremony" not " graduation service".

It would have been nice to know the name of the young graduate. Easier to bond.

Thanks for sharing.

Blessings Julia

Thank you so much for reviewing Julia and your great suggestions, I will change service to ceremony. I will unfortunately decline with her name since I do not have her permission to divulge it.
