Your poem brought back sweet memories.
My mother passed on her passion of pets to me.
When we were living at the lake side ,we had three dogs and a huge garden so there was no need to walk them but my papa ' took pride in taking Abdullah ( our afghan hound) walking everyday.
They had so much fun.
When we moved up the mountain we only had a small patch of green so I took the two left walking.
Through snow and iced streets , going up and down wasn't easy.
Lot easier if it was just raining .. I would wait for a lull and put their raincoats on and off.
... But if they heard a thunder clout even in the distance , especially the smaller one would refuse to relieve herself and just pulled to go home.
I think in a growing family a pet is a blessing.
Helping to feed, groom ,walk and care for their pet teaches children the sense of responsibility.
It's also very rewarding emotionally cause the bond that grows between them is beautiful.
Wishing you a nice weekend Rhonnie.
Ciao!

CIAO TEMPESTE: Again...I thank you for reviewing and liking my work. This brought back memories for me too. You sent me pics of you and Abdullah. You told me all about him and your other pets too. I'm so glad that your mom taught you how to be like her. Your mom was so nice...that God made her twice. May our God Bless you, Tempeste. CIAO...your friend: Cordially; rhonnie69.

This is a cute little poem which meets the meter requirements outlined in the contest guidelines. The picture you chose works well with it. Thanks for sharing. Good luck in the contest.

Dogs need to go they need to go they don't care what the weather is outside. If you don't take them they will do their business in the house thus getting in trouble.
