Hi there,
I like your newly coined phrases of :boring blabbermouth birds: AND :drabby and flashy: - as things meant to be. I like your free form use of words such as :drabby: - wow! I'm sure you've invented a new word.
Your transition from kid to the adult world of neon and noise is effective. How about a 6-pack? - Lobber

Hello Sunni!
Well-crafted Nonet! You handled the form well and in the process creative fine visual and emotive imagery. I posted a double-Nonet last year for a site contest last year; it was disqualified. You may want to contact the CEC to see if a double is acceptable.
Also: use (used) to...
Take care!

Nice double-nonet form, here. I love the photo. I think they have proven birds can see colors, or at least some of them. Maybe that is why they are so happy most of the time. This is a reflective, thoughtful bird, though! I like the intuitive observation that the bird also sat and wondered about life, much as a child or young person would. Nice share.

A beautiful nonet and reverse nonet, Sunni -- love your entire presentation and the image it paints even without the chosen pic! ;) The contest, I believe, is only for the 9-line traditional nonet... :) ;) Thanx for sharing your beautiful vision and good luck! ;) :)

Wow, Alicia this is a wonderful double nonet. I love this subject and the picture is so beautiful!! I love the poem. The world seen by the eyes of a bird and his impressions. Yes the true spectrum is not as color full as expected, but the bird's colors are brilliant and bright anyway. Good luck in the contest, for me it's a winner!! Fia

I want that colorful bird to visit my relatively new birdfeeder! I enjoyed your speaking in the voice of the bird in this double nonet and sharing its observations of the world around it. Best wishes in another contest- Joan

What a perfectly formatted double nonet. It's like an hour glass which makes me think of time. The poem also reflects on time from the fledgling days of the narrator bird who learns that the world is meant to be a "spectrum of drabby and flashy."

A very well-written double nonet in perfect hourglass shape. The colorful bird seems to be street smart. He is not a blabber mouth like his friends but a good thinker.

This double nonet poem speaks diverse, nice, real and natural experience of watching street birds at different point of time since childhood and opens knowledge about them anew every time; well said, well done.
