That poor seal. Was it a poacher or just some awful person who would do this to a seal. The way the passer-by said it, it seemed he'd seen it a lot and didn't care.

Thanks, Joan. No it just sheds a lot. Apparently it's a big problem in some marinas. They are basically sea dogs - that shed, just as land dogs do. :)

Don't know if I'm right, but regardless, not a particularly pleasant sight for a morning stroll.

Thanks, Lee! It didn't really smell. I just was really searching for a rhyme, there. I'm still trying to think of a way to change those two lines.

This is absolutely HILARIOUS! I can't even imagine getting up, walking out bare footed and stepping on that. I think that I would be fit to be tied! I like this! It gave me a smile. I really like what you've done with this and enjoyed reading this well written work. Great job and well done!

Thanks! Yeah, it was pretty darn gross. I had no idea seals could shed that much! My husband thinks it was a baby seal molting his baby fur. There are a lot of baby seals in that marina. No one harms them, so they congregate there. The otters populate that marina too, and they poop everywhere!
