I like that phrase, "wrap yourself in nighttime's healing shroud" - well put - we do feel that way, sometimes as if we're sinking into a quiet place - often during the day we wish for that "nap" if only for a few minutes.

Not only do your words settle the reader's mind down into night time's healing shroud, but your choice of colors and the soft Italic type enhance the words along with that ethereal looking picture making the words come to life. I think this should do well in the contest.

Very nice imagery of the soothing elements of night as we are lulled into a peaceful sleep wrapped in the healing shroud of oblivion...until that darn alarm starts to beep! Great entry for the contest.

This is a very well done Nonet using vivid imagery and creating a feeling of warmth and comfort. I appreciated that you sustained the metaphor of wrappings, from "cloak" to "silken velvet" to "shroud." The image you chose works well with it, and I LOVE your use of color for the text. This was an effective poem with a picture to match. it certainly met the guidelines laid out by the writing prompt in terms of meter. Your words were well chosen. The term "healing shroud," however, towards the end, seemed like a bit of an oxymoron.
