You convinced me it was the wife. Clever story with a hilarious surprise ending. The information at the bottom, about the breed, is interesting, too. Well done.

You had us in a soap opera scene and then switched to "My Favorite Pup!" I loved this and you had me going until the level thing. "He stooped down to my level." Aha! You wicked girl--you're such a tease! I am sick for a sixer because you had me hook, line and sinker on this one.
Sending you my best today as always. A superb offering.

I am savoring that thought. I played Juliet in a middle school production. A blonde Juliet nonetheless.

Well, you reeled me in like a fish. Especially parading in front of the TV clad in just a necklace! That was a touch of genius. lol Good luck in the contest. I'm sure it will do well.

Dear Author for a moment there I thought you had forgotten to warn your readers of possible sexual content. :0 :) You have a knack for stirring the blood of the male species where women are concern. After the first or second birth of a child the lady feels less desirable, but she shouldn't. A woman that is loved is loved much more after the birth of children. I guess it also pertains to dogs. :) This is a good entry for The Door Slammed contest.

You've really done a superb job of misdirection with this one. I was totally fooled by this one until the very end. I was for sure that you were talking about a woman with twins and not a dog with puppies. This was beautifully and cleverly written. I enjoyed reading this humorous and well written work. Very well done!

Well done. Might be a winner. I suspected the surprise early on (why would babies be sleeping in Mom's bed), but I wasn't sure till you said Jameson squatted down to her level. It's a common trick, but you did it so well it seemed fresh. :)

Life does indeed change after the birth of children even for animals. I know in my house the dogs have always loved but looked al little sadder when they were left out or behind. I always make sure to tell them good-bye myself.
Good luck in the contest.

A very well-written story about the dog that first think Jameson us mad at her for some reason when he slammed the door and drive off without saying goodbye when he returns everything seems to be okay. .
