This is fantastic! What a great imagination! So creatively scary and intense! The drama is perfect! "Greeaat"! I love that! I'm sure there would be far more concern if a female president was in the throws of nightmare than a male! They would probably mutter under their breathe that it wasmost likely "that time of month again"! Haha! Good luck in the contest! xoxo

Wow! Thanks for your great comments, Diana - I was a little worried how this one would be received (you know, weird combination of requirements and all), but I'm so glad you enjoyed! And you're certainly right about the 'monthly' comments - lol! Have a great weekend!

I guess the Chinese guy was a very nasty wizard. She was right to be creeped out by the gift. Do presidents actually take any gifts home? I doubt it. I wouldn't. Good luck in the contest.

Naaaah, gifts are handled by Secret Service and catalogued and stored separately (I think), but it made for an interesting story, yeah? Thanks for your review!

Hello mystery writer. This story certainly meets the requirement of "what happens after dark." It shows a lot of imagination as the malevolent thing is a statue given from one head of state to another. It's also an interesting story because of the circumstances we have going on now between America and China. Well done. Good luck in the contest.

Very unique and creative way to include dragon, president wizard and fire. You fit the criteria wonderfully with a well written piece. I thoroughly enjoyed your interpretation of the prompt as it was not what one might expect. Good luck in your contest and thanks for sharing.

I found this story to be clever and amusing and I appreciate the fact that it was told by the future first woman US president. It is an excellent contest entry and I wish you good luck. But don't worry, I won't be sending you any symbolic statues.
