This is lovely, mystery poet. Beautifully penned and illustrated with Springtime offerings. You must live in the Southern Hemisphere.
Sending you my best today and for the poetry contest,
Sally xo

Hi Sally. Thank you so much for your enthusiastic response to my spring poem. No, I live in the Midwest.
Comment from Janice Canerdy
Your poem about spring is skillfully-written, lovely, and inspirational.
Your pleasing blend of literal and figurative language paints a lovely picture of early spring days.

Comment from Sandra du Plessis
A very well-written poem about the observation that makes the author realize it seems that Spring is finally here and winter give up trying to stay. The colorful field with lilac flowers make it clear it is Springtime.

It seems ironic that we're to be writing of spring - now when we've just begun to have a wood fire in the morning and evening - cuz we 're down in the 30s - a long ways off is Spring and I already miss it.
Good poem

If it's spring, why is it 92 degrees outside? I recently saw an old Twilight Zone episode. The earth fell out of orbit and the planet was getting hotter and hotter. In the end, it was the opposite. The world was turning into a freezer.

Beautiful poem which shows me the joy of seeing the first signs of spring. I love your choices of verbs: riffle, loop and flitting. Best wishes to you in the contest!

This is a beautiful poem, very well written and rhymed. Image is stunning. Descriptions are done well. As we approach winter here in Wisconsin, it will be a while until spring--my favorite time of the year. Best of luck in the contest with this fine entry. Marilyn

Many thanks for your kind praise of my spring poem, Marilyn. I am just below you in Chicago and we?re sweltering. I don?t want to think of winter coming on.

A lilting poem about the welcoming of spring. Spring fever always grips me when I see the robins tugging out worms and watch the trees turn from naked sticks to lush green. I love your picture. It is the epitome of Spring.

Hello author
I read how you feel when the season appears.
I noticed that how you had mixed rhyme which I like, it makes a nice free style poem.
Just one thing you should consider checking out is this line
Spectacular color carpets the fields,
as slow-rising sun lifts ((its)) sleepy head.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts of spring yet to come.

Hi, Gert. I certainly welcome your kind praise of my spring poem and your suggestion. I thought of using ITS, but did not want that extra syllable.

You are welcome Author
I understand what you are saying about counting your syllables in your poem so forget my suggestion.
