That's one of my favourite songs of Cyndi Lauper.. ( " Time After and "True Colours" were great too).
I like your provocative ( but in a fun way ) poem and the pic is cool but Lauper's version of the song is by many misinterpreted.
Lots of people think its a song about girls, women and sex and females joining in to party like the men do and have sex /get laid.
Instead, the song has a far more inspiring meaning
It's a great anthem to sisterhood ..it's about women that are independent, that have a job, that have fun and feel good with their sisters...
.....a woman's life doesn't need to be defined by a man, women don't need the approval or a man in their lives to feel accomplished.
And yes, I believe the world would be better ruled by women ( biggrin )
