What a lovely story, Sanku, no wonder you won that contest. It's lovely learning about mythology in other countries. This was really nice. I'm glad the jealous queen was also contrite afterwards. Well done and congratulations. :) Sandra xx

Well written, good pace, not to fast or to slow. Good choice of story, I felt like I was in a large comfortable room listening to the story with a group of people.

A lovely retelling. I'll have to wait until after the voting is over to say more, lest I reveal myself during the contest. Thanks for the research and sharing . Good luck!

Good job and an interesting take on the challenge. It seems a lot of mythology revolves around family jealousy, but that's not surprising, since it exists in families everywhere. :)

Dhruv became the king, blessed by seven sages, Lord Vishnu, ruled his father's kingdom, his step mother and step brother could not shine, the little boy of Hindu Mythology, Dhruv became a Pole Star; well said, well done.

Hello unknown author
First time I read the story of Polaris or Polestar according to the Hindu mythology. I found it well written into a short story for the contest.
Best to you.

I guess the injustice was not all that important after all if Dhruv forgot about it. And I can imagine the king would have been very angry with his second wife for driving his son off. In your second paragraph did you mean quiet instead of quite?

This is a very interesting story about the myth of the Polaris star. The Hindu have so many beautiful myths about many things in nature. If I might suggest, look this over a bit as there are a few edits you could do. One place has the sentence begin with no space after the period and another with an extra space before a comma. Hope this will help. Good luck in your contest! xoxo
