This must've been a really fun one-six-one syllable poem to write. I'm also very impressed with your illustration and how well they go together. I wish you luck in this contest.

Oh yes indeed - lambs are fun to watch in the fields around my place at this time of year here in NZ.

Hello mystery writer. He did a great job with the poem and I wanted to congratulate you for using the word that is not typically used. That shows imagination. Good luck in the contest.

I like this. It sure seems to be happy about something. I had no idea that they could jump so high. This poem has an excellent rhyme and flow to it. The artwork compliments your work well. Thanks for sharing this well written work. Well done!

This fits the 1-6-1 requirements perfectly. What a neat photo. I see some 'g' alliteration with 'gambol,' 'great,' 'glee.' Thank you for posting a happy poem!

A very well-written 1-6-1 poem about the lively lam that joyfully jumps as high as he can because he is alive, it is Spring time and he is happy to be around.

Well doesn't this look familiar to me. This meets the contest requirements nicely with a correct line and syllable count and consistent end rhyme throughout. The content is fun and playful. Good luck in the voting and thank you very much for sharing it.

Thanks for your comments. Spring is so obvious here I can't quite imagine Fall happening elsewhere.... we don't even call it Fall, it is just Autumn.

You are welcome, and thanks for sharing. Actually, it is still summer here until Sept. 21.

Theoretically, we are probably still in winter, but we had such a mild one the weather is warm enough to confuse the flowers and blossoms, and many of the lambs are out in the fields when they might usually be in lambing sheds.

Thanks for sharing. The weather is certainly a mystery everywhere!

I love this. I've seen many lambs frolicking in this way. It's not easy to photograph them just at this moment though. You haven't wasted one syllable here. Good luck in the contest.

There are many lambs in the surrounding paddocks now and they are a delight to watch. But they stop frolicking when I point my camera at them. Shy little critters.
