This has some very good descriptions of unhuman characters that arouses
my interest. The fairy flicking out a purple tongue to examine the ring on
Peter's hand is a brilliant touch. The shadowy figure hiding behind a chair is another intriguing point which makes me want to read further to learn who or what it is. What is the story behind its present state? This is a good hook to capture the reader's attention Well done cheers Cass

Lol! You have that knack of making your characters feel like real live people, even when they're not "people" at all. I found myself concerned for the leader, trying to organize such a disparate group of 'beings'. I'm loving it, Bob. I've realized over the years that it's not just the story I enjoy in reading. Sometimes a book is worth reading just for the quality of the writing. One of the reasons I love reading Ken Follet. Good story, well-researched, but also so well written. He uses language so well. So do you!
"If he concentrated really hard, it was almost as though he were laying down..."lying down." But it's been used wrongly for so long it's almost accepted practice now.
Waiting for the next chapter!
