Lovely free verse Trisha as you take us on a walk, well known, but one that also changed. The second half had me thinking of the 'stairway to heaven' as you beautifully describe the glass, the prisms of light, in this place of healing. Lovely read,
cheers,
valda

Your poem sounds like you found a beautiful place back in nature. It reminds me of a Christian retreat I used to go to up north here in Michigan. Nice job.

This is a beautiful poem. So peaceful...
I like the descriptions, they make me feel as if I was there.
The artwork is wonderful too.
Thanks so much for sharing.

A very well-written free verse poem about the beautiful observation you make while you walk along this path. Somethings you have seen before but there are also things you experience for the first time.

I enjoyed your free verse club offering, Bucketlist. Your words flow smoothly with great imagery. Your image and color scheme are soothing. I felt as if I was there on the path to the beautiful cathedral as I read your well-chosen words. I have read a second poem by you on this subject. Both are great. Thanks for sharing Jan

This is a very descriptive poem and in my mind's eye I can see the chapel you describe so vividly. I particularly liked the following:
Sanctuary from a troubled world
A respite for emotional healing
Thanks for sharing.

What a beautiful description about your journey to the glass chapel. The wonder of all nature contributing as one to the pilgrimage. I enjoyed reading this superb free verse.

This makes me think of the glass chapel here in Arkansas. It rises through the trees, too, with glass throwing prisms about. Lovely free verse and great presentation.
