This poem certainly meets the contest requirements as you kept it to the word limit and used the same word "mum" to start and end. I like your use of alliteration. Thanks for sharing.

I'm not sure I get the point of this, but then, flashes are a bit out of my league. I'm assuming Mum must have had bad nerves or maybe she'd just cleaned up the kitchen!

This is a fun little story, Mystery Author. With so few words, as required, you have to get right to the point which you did. It seems these kids were, and are, up to something that would cause 'mum' to react as she did. Thanks for sharing and best wishes. Jan

Twenty-nine words to make a poem that makes sense is phenomenal. great subject, but i am assuming that you are from England. The mum term is pretty cool.
