This is an excellent poem for the 5 7 5 contest. The words and the picture promote the poet's head on. The poem works in that it makes me think about and wonder of the years past when my wife and I did just that. Then the senses come to play with the waves lapping against the hull, the beautiful sunset, the smell of the sea water and feeling the rise and fall of the ship riding the oceans swells. Well done.
