Dean is truly missed. His animated horror/thriller poems were something. He was a kind man too. May he rest in peace.
I didn't write him a commemorative poem. I haven't written any commemorative poems for any Fanstorian friends that passed away. It's idolization that makes me cry. You're nice. You must be stronger emotionally. Nice poetic gesture :)

He was one of a kind. We?ll not see his like again.

I think this is perfectly respectful.
It's true that Dean's posts were a mixture of horror and humour.
I do miss him. He was a great guy.
Thanks for sharing this poem.

I think this is a down-to-earth tribute poem that is of course, less sentimental. I am thinking your alliteration in the last line is great with "honor," "his," and "horror," even if the H is silent in "honor," it still shows up visually! Great colors choices for a horror type subject. Thank you for posting.

I believe you are right in what you say in your notes, although I also say Dean would be overjoyed to know how much he will be missed. I think he often felt unappreciated, at least by some, and it's wonderful to see the many tributes to him and his talent.
That said, I think your clever poem is also right on the money -- few authors have or had as many followers as Dean, and rightfully so. He will be sorely missed.

Thanks, Dawn. I know he did feel like he got bad critiques from readers who simply hated horror and reviewed on that basis. He was a gem in my book and a great loss.

Agreed. You're very welcome.

This is the third poem I've seen regarding Dean Kuch. He was indeed a brilliant writer who touched many lives here on Fanstory.
I don't think it's too soon; I think it's just what people need right now, so, thanks for sharing.

In your face horror and a whole helluvalot of heart and humor -- that's the Dean I learned to know for even the short year or less that I had the privilege to ... I think you've got this one right, Sir Bill! ;) :) Thanx for sharing! ;) Yvette
P.S. So sorry for the delayed review - the beginning of school combined with getting the boys off to college (they're all out there now - so quiet round here!!) has me struggling to find a routine... I PROMISE to be there soon - and, believe me, that's more for the OCD blonde over here than for you - LOL! ;) ;) Take care!

Hi Bill, I love it... I know he's up there... he's looking at it and he's saying, "C'mon Bill... Where's the creepy music?" Well, I can't do music, or moving pictures, or little dancing skeletons or any of that really cool stuff Dean did. He's up there having a good ole time entertaining them all... :) Our loss is their gain for sure. :(

Thank you, Susan. I?m going to find out how to attach those MP3 sound pieces, get a personal stock of gory graphics, and, I guess, become an Indiana farm boy so I can try to recreate what will be missing.
