A Great pet dog Kelly that really has been your life companion and save You in critical depressed moments which are so difficult to get out and up from. I am really happy for You. No Words could Express my dolorous feeling in reading this life's poem because all has already been written along its narrative story Line.Great work.

Thanks so much for your kind review. Animals are better than people I think. XXK.
Good morning Aussie and May your day be splendid and bright. Yes it's completely true for certain circumstances, and relatives often become dangerous beasts to avoid.Dogs are always faith and true they suffer for their masters.Tony

Tony, How many people would put their life on the line? My dog would. Oh, I have written another chapter to Aboriginal Dreaming. Love, Kay.

I didn't see this in time to vote, but I think it's a beautiful tribute to your dear Kelly (maybe I'm biased, because I care about animals and like to see them revered), but even so, the rhythm is good, the pace is good, and it's well done. I see by your notes at the end how special she is.

This is very touching and very beautifully written. How blessed you are to have had such a loyal loving companion. It must be very comforting to write about these memories.

No sweetie-pie, she passed in 95. She was thirteen, blind and didn't know me. I will see her again. I won third in the contest! Thanks, Katharine. Love, Kace.

What an uplifting story, Aussie. No wonder you made the leaderboard. Well deserved win. Thank goodness for animals. They get us through times we just might not make it through alone.
Your poem affected me deeply. Thank you.

This is a beautiful tribute to your beloved best friend - Kelly.
It takes another being to make us realise that life can and does go on beyond the heartache. A descriptive piece that allows the reader to feel the before and after-effects of depression and healing. Thank you for sharing. ~DD

Hi Kace. Your best friend, Kelly, is gorgeous. She looks like a pit bull to me. I love that breed. I have had four of them. They have a bum rap. They are full of fun and love. A wonderful poem. I especially like the last stanza. Best of luck in the contest. Hugs, Marilyn

Hello Marilyn, Kelly was a boxer x cattle dog. She lived for thirteen years. I now have a Schnauzer, he is a mini, so loyal, never had done a thing wrong. Age is getting him, he has arthritis and poor eyesight. I will care for him because he has cared for me. Love, Kace.

Yes, Kace. They are there for us and we must be there for them.
