A well written Cinquain contest entry with 2-4-6-8-2 syllable counts. A complimentary photo artwork. I like the emotions regarding "raw and real." Good luck.

There are certainly times when passion overrules propriety, and we think love is an unnecessary complexity. We can ignore the regret of our shameful actions, but it is actually possible to have love that is also raw and real.

For the different stages of our lives, there is always human need laced in there. And, yes, there are times where we find ourselves at a place physical needs are all there are or all there are room/time for... :) A great offering for the contest, sir -- true life just IS! ;) :) Good luck and thanx for sharing! ;) Yvette

Holy moly, wow! There was a bit of steam coming off this one, yes sirree
After I wiped my moistened
lenses and took off my
glasses I found I definitely wanted to give you
six
Wonderfully done, just enough poetic titillation to stir the senses, pique interest and get the imagination flowing.
Verry well done, er...what was your name again? LOL

Ah, Phillippa, thank you for the thoughtful, poetic review and the generous rating...glad it stirred something, what's the point otherwise? The last line was well played- a review worthy of a review!

This is a cool play on Cinquain poetry, and a more sophisticated and elegant view of the one-night stand. :)
I wish you well in the contest!

Not only the photo capture my attention your words have my mind and emotions spinning in full speed.
i feel for anyone who says they don't need love.
what they are saying to me is they are yearning for it.
they are wearing a mask to hide their pain,
PAIN
THANK YOU FOR SHARING.

Lovely poem. I particularly like the third line where you speak of somewhere raw and real.
Your choice of artwork is also perfect.
Thanks so much for sharing.

Hello Chip, I enjoyed this poem. As a hopeless romantic myself I think there is nothing better than love. With that being said, sometimes you just want unbridled, raw passion, rip my clothes off and ..........
Good job my friend! Good luck in the contest.

Hm... sounds like someone is ready to let their hair down and do the wild thing without regret or restraint. I have been there, felt that and reveled in the wild freedom of the moment, but all to soon sanity returns and you have to go home, get some sleep, and get ready for school or work.
