Yes, you did leave us hanging and wondering. Love the story. I'll keep reading so I can finish the chapters. Quite a great story. Will they marry or is life in turmoil as they experience the old truck swaying.

Plenty of action in this chapter. The scene between you and the nurse is particularly well described and you've left us with a real cliff-hangar at the end. A gripping love story.

This story continues telling us of the tales of love between the mountain folk. I enjoyed the descriptive references and the homespun humor. The intensity of Cathy's love is well defined and the resisting love story shared by Grandpa and Grandma adds depth to this. Well done you two.

It took a bit of getting used to the interjection of writings, poems and memories but it seems to work well into your story line.
I hope they are both alright ... but did they lose Grandpa in the truck accident?
I didn't see any thing to correct.

Okay. Loving it still. I really like reading about Cathy and Bill. I know it's wrong but I probably would have kicked that nurse on the way out. Lol I'm really not the violent type but I was glad when you fired her. This is such a sweet compelling and engaging love story. Thank you for sharing Cathy and Bill's story with us! 1.) You were about 14 then...if my memory's correct.(")
--> you also use double qmark inside this paragraph for 'you-know-what' instead of single
2.) awaking from a dream of fishing in a stream and catching Speckled Mountain Trout.(")
3.) Grandma told me once that Grandpa's nose is always cold when he kisses her.(")

If you are aiming for a family audience, I would just say something like "so he could kiss her ear," or "so he could nibble her ear." I like the quote about God saying love was going to teach us songs for our tomorrows. Nice chapter addition!
