This is a neat haiku. I'm wondering is this a coincidence or does the dragon fly have something to do with the bud opening. I like the phrase
budding romance having to do a dragon kiss.

I regret the delay in responding, but the Baltic cruise ship had an unstable internet signal. Just got back home and have lots of catching up to do.

A wonderful Haiku showing nature at her finest. The photo complimented your words so well. Water lilies are spectacular when in bloom on the large green pads. And the blue of the dragon-fly against the opening of the lily was spectacular. Well done.

The presentation of this one is gorgeous. I love the play on "blue dragon" and that final budding romance is an awesome end. I think these Haikus are the hardest write to own. So few words, so much meaning. Great work. Good luck in the contest.

I like the double entendre in this gorgeous, colourful write. The beautiful artwork is a perfect match.
Syllable count, kigo and satori meet the requirements of haiku.

Nice mix of words and picture. I know it is meant both literally and metaphorically for the hope of life and love. I always wonder how many colors dragonflies come in.

A very well-written haiku about the blue dragon kissing the purple petals to awake them from their deep sleep a couple a new romance start in the break of Spring.

June, excellent haiku. Each successive line builds on the first. "kisses, awaken, romance" all three tie into one another. Petals and budding another great combo. You've taken an every day occurrence and made it magical. And dragon flies do into resemble miniature dragons. Hugh
