I really enjoyed this write. It is fun to read with a lovely rhythm and cadence. I also love the story and figure it wasn't a bad way to go at all! Wonderful writing.

I think that it took a long time for people to trust banks, though in time most did. But over the years can you imagine how many coffee cans of money are buried all over the world that family members wither never found or didn't even know about. The poem flows very well. The rhythm and rhyme is perfect. Great job!

The author's words are descriptive, interesting, sad, and creative. I pondered on the theme of this poem. I found the last stanza sad that
his children never found the coffee can. The poem flows and connects
well. The artwork awesome and compliments these words.

You did a great job with your cowboy poem. I enjoyed reading it. Your words are well thought out, there's good rhymes, and you create great imagery. I could see everything you mentioned. Too bad families are like the way you wrote--more concerned with things and money than people and feelings.
Respectfully, Jan

I enjoyed reading your Old Man Poem. It was very fitting that his children never did find "The Buried Coffee Can". You have a wonderful knack for story telling my friend.

Blessings

I really enjoyed reading this poem/story contest entry. It's sad his children didn't care. I am guessing he was never there for them, being a cowboy and all, but still they should understand. Thank you for sharing this with us. It's one of the best I've read, I doubt you will need it, but good luck.

This is a very good entry for the Old man poem contest. You made it sound like a true story, Willie. But then, you have so many old tales you used to post, so no surprise. Good luck.

Excellent poetry...form is perfect and it sings like a cowboy song. I am glad they never found that can...it belonged to him and to be fought over would be a desecration. Nicely done!!!
