Comment from Six-Star Writer
I can't believe someone actually gave you six stars for this. To begin with, "myopic" is in fact, a very common word, not obscure in any way. And this was a contest for "obscure' words. Also, there is a prevailing negativity in the piece, made all the more negative because of the photo of the downtrodden man. There was nothing meaningful in the work's message--simply the regretful lament of a person lacking conviction. But keep your chin up. I'm sure you can do better if you try harder. People use the lame excuse of not being able to be original. Don't be one of those lazy, excuse people. Take the time to write something wonderful. It takes work, but trust me, it will be worth it when you right something truly worthwhile.

Ha. Typical.
Funny how all your reviews sound the same, no matter who you're reviewing.
-
Obviously, you haven't read all my reviews, DS. As how I review depends on the writing I read. If it has misspelled words, or poor grammar, I will comment appropriately. But if it is simply riddled with cliches and is completely unoriginal, as the majority of your writing is, I will comment on that area needing improvement. And on rare occasions, if the writing is actually good, I will state as much. So the only "typical" thing here us your inability to handle being reviewed and considering that maybe what a reviewer states about your "work" is true. If you did this" you might start to become a better writer.

I hope you haven't bumped into too many obstacles with your myopic foresight. Your imagination and intellectual insight seem to be coping OK, although others might be myopic about that.

Lol. Yeah, they might be but I won't put too much stock in thought that I might care. Haha. Thank you for the great review and generous stars, Lisa.

Really enjoyed the irreverence of this offering. A light and humourous 23 syllables which well-convey the meaning of your obscure word without spelling it out. I like the sideways approach very much! Cheers, annh :)

Wow, thank you so much for the fantastic review and big sixer, Annh. Yeah, I was just in one of those moods, lol. I dearly appreciate the generous rating and kind words. I'm glad you liked my silly little offering. Have a great day and thank you again. Made my night.

The meaning in practice of the word myopic is shown and humour retained in the mode of expression of the state of affairs; well said, well done. Liked and enjoyed the read. Write-Inspire --DR ALCREATOR

This poem was amusing because I can so easily relate AT TIMES to the Speaker who is myopic. A dandy word to use for this contest, certainly not one hears or uses every day. Rod

Myopic is something I have dealt with since I was a child so it is not so obscure to me. But I see your point ... LOL
Nice image to accompany what I consider a funny verse.
Like your last line!
Good luck in this contest. I am enjoying the other posts in the same. We learn a lot about these obscure words.
