Well I had a bit of a freak out when I first read, Lori? But I read on and you actually put her last name out there. whew!! We hadn't met in '69 and I had forgotten. My name is Lori, right spelling too. lol But for the poem, you really spill out your pain throughout, for the loss of this love that just disappeared without a following letter. what young person can see that this is what would have been the best way to say goodbye. it doesn't leave the other one wondering the rest of their life what had happened. People can be so callous and selfish. If it doesn't concern their feelings too bad for the other one. I found this piece a bit long and repeated a bit too much. You could have made this into at least three separate poems, finding the same pain passages to make them up. However, the repeating only shows how much the words have been locked up and I hope you are feeling better for it. Our young loves last for a long time, until we grow old enough to shake it off and laugh at the misrepresented love we thought we felt for lust and crushes.
remember the good times but let go of the hurt you went through.

WOW! You are truly an inspired romantic at hear, my friend. This is just a beautiful read ('ve read it about eight times now and each time take away something new). Well done and thank you very much for sharing it.
