Exquisite and beautiful. I love how we call this period of our lives the 'autumn years.' So many of us can relate to this poem. Your words have added something mysterious to this journey, but not bad.'
I loved 'trills' and 'whispers' and 'Autumn's Aria.'
What a great contest entry. Very best wishes!

This is lovely and speaks of so much more than the season of Autumn. I also love the artwork which of course sets the stage for your poem. Very nice entry. Good luck in the contest.
Wahoo, 3rd place for you Yvette! I really loved this poem. Congrats!

Such is the full glass, and oh, how your sweet poem echoes with inspiring music! An aria for the season, reminding us of those we've lived and those still to come -- how romantic! Beautiful.

Dear Poet,
Have you ever wondered how memory functions? Your poem implies to me that in the autumn of existence we recall past events that may lead us to seek new experiences? Anyway a good write.
Good luck in the contest.
Cheers,
Winslow

I'm walking in the leaves just now of the autumn of my life. I was certain the best years were behind me when I was diagnosed with progressive blindness. I was wrong as the beautiful colors of my world have opened up. Thank you for this beautiful poem, I felt like it was just for me.

A very well-written poem about the song of our lives that starts with an Autumn aria. The beautiful season leads us to winter and ultimately to new life.

I love the musical references (Aria and trills) and also the pivotal effect of line two with the word whispers carrying the poem to the future. The word economy is superb in line one with the alliterated two word line. I would love to see the other two lines trimmed of filler words and having similar word economy, but I'm not sure what to suggest.
Lovely post...meaning and delivery. Good luck in the contest! The personification is delicious.

I love how you have identified Autumn as the main character in this story poem. You have answered the 5-7-5 form very well and used enjambment perfectly to achieve a flowing thought. Well done.
