A delightful scene you portray in your Villanelle of the fairies dancing in the woods under the moonlight. Love a little fairy tale and love the artwork you've chosen. Nice one Yvonne,
cheers,

Lovely. We believe we have a fairy ring in our backyard! (Yes, we are a bit odd!) Your poem is as flowing as the fairy dance and the artwork chosen is perfect to accompany. Thank you for the informative author notes. There is always something to be learned there. Quite beautiful!

I don't think having a fairy ring is odd at all! I think it's wonderful. Thank you for a great review.

It's been a while since I read a poem in this form. This one worked beautifully, with no forced or artificial feeling in the repetition. I liked the subject matter, too!

This is a truly beautiful Villanelle, my friend. Your repeating lines flow seamlessly into the rest of the poem. This is one of my favorite poems and I enjoyed this much, my friend~Debbie

Alright, Yvonne. Good job here. Fantasy is not generally my thing but I enjoyed this Villanelle very much. You seem to use just the right words repeatedly to complete the poetic story. Bless you, my friend. Bob

This is an excellent Villanelle with an eerie topic. I can feel the speaker's desire to leave, yet held in place by a fascination that speaker is frozen in place to watch in wonder and hoping not to be discovered by the sprites.
Well done.

Hooray for fairies dancing in the moonlight!! ;) :) A wonderful villanelle, Yvonne, that employs those 'repetitive' lines to keep the reader's mind on their surroundings while you describe the changing visual before their eyes...loved it! :) :) Thanx for sharing! ;) Yvette
