Dear Poet,
Well expressed. For contentment and peace is available all around, but one must be observant. A day on the water can be so rewarding even though fishing was slow a true sentiment.

Your poem is a beautifully expressed capture of later years... pointed west to the sunset of life, at peace with the world, with an overall calm feeling of contentment, no longer ambitious for big rewards, and having an awareness that life is beautiful and its many blessings have been - and still are- enjoyed.

Many thanks, Melissa. I appreciate your high praise of GOLDEN CONTENTMENT. I find writing a Novo Otto more challenging than a sonnet, but the words--as they came-- seemed to call for this format. Rod
