Relax, Dragonskulls, as I rarely write about any of those things (well, maybe my cats) This is a brilliant rant. With your words, I can now express my lack of enthusiasm for most of the subjects. Flowers, changing seasons, romance--they're all overdone, but let's face it, those are the subjects that get the reviews. Or could it be the member dollars offered? Sometimes I read two poems a day by the same writer, and they're usually on the same predictable subjects. Well said, Dragonskulls, and in excellent form, too. Happy reading. judi

Well, Ron, if I could see clearly through the tears of laughter (and, yeah, that's only a bit of an exaggeration) I might tell you that you really triggered me this morning and that I will now have an awful day .... I might even say that because your hurtful and well-rhymed offering that practically sings itself with its own tune I will find it difficult to ever pick up my poet's pen again...but I can't at the moment because I'm still giggling. So, instead of laying all this horrid guilt at your feet for ending what I was convinced was to be a brilliant poetry career, I will now go back to teaching math and just throw these six stars in your direction to simply remind you that some of those PERFECT lines of veiled mockery will be stuck in my brain, taunting me for the rest of the day...!! :) ;) ;)

This is great, my friend, and IF it does not win then I will have to join the faction that believes there are cheaters among us - oh my! You need no luck in the voting since the poem can take the rest with at least three stanzas tied behind its back.
