Since, you asked "Now how about you?" Having seen you choice of artwork,
I remember the comics. Just thinking I remember when comic books were 10 cents and all the neighbor children shared reading them weekly.
I can relate to the titles and especially the colorful costumes the characters wear.
I appreciate you entering the book title contest, your contest entry has taken me down memory lane for my generation.

Very good - you pulled this one off on comics. My family's stern religion did not allow comic books - or cards -- but I haunted the local library for books that might have shocked some. Historical fiction was a favorite.
Good poem - it works well. Good luck in the contest.

I enjoyed your contest entry, Mystery Author. Your rhymes are good, and I like the bold of the names. There is good flow to your fun words. I like the story told and how you ended this little it. Thanks for sharing and best wishes. Jan

A very well-written poem using book titles, and in this case the comic books from our childhood and cartoon characters that light up our lives as we grow up, and there were many hidden values that we could learn from.

Hello Mystery Poet,
You certainly got a lot of super hero names into your poem :) I can picture them all. I remember reading comics when I was a kid, and Saturday comics in the newpaper. I kind of miss those days except they turned them all into movies so they are still with us.
Best wishes in the contest.

I love this! I haven't thought of Sad Sack and Beetle Bailey in many years. My son is a comic collector, mostly Marvel ones. My favorite as a girl were Archie comics!!!

Awesome! Those were the best comic days for sure :)

You have made effective use of specific details--titles and theme
descriptions--to convey that meaningful points can be found in the comics. This is entertaining, but there is a choppy effect.

An interesting look at your love of comic books.
Maybe add some more about how these stories affected you (as the contest asks for): Did they take you away to new lands? Inspire you to be more heroic yourself? Make you laugh? Give you confidence? Give you topics of discussion with friends? Invite a dream world where you were a superhero too?

I can't imagine there being a boy alive who hasn't dabbled in comic books and found their own hero. I found this piece took me back to my childhood and the magic and wonders of those superhero days. I still watch the movies lol.
God bless

Great job. The fact that movies made by the Marvel Universe and the DC franchise are making millions of dollars, should forever close the mouths of those who criticize comic. These have proven to be outstanding outlets for entertaining and enlightening the majority of the population of the entire world.
