Oh yes. I am also one who has never outgrown a good comic book from time to time. Is your contest entry title supposed to be as it s also? Just curious. I used to love comic books title "Straight Arrow" and all of the "Tales of the Crypt" series. Good job. Bob

Thank you Bob, I actually did learn a lot from comic books. I liked House of Mystery and Strang Sports Stories. Thanks for reading and reviewing my work.

I think this is a good solid entry. You have tapped into an area that most of us remember and were a part of in our earlier years. Loved the write. Best wishes for the contest win. xoxo Kiwi

, it flows beautifully as I read through it and the punctuation (or purposeful lack of) keeps me at the rhythm that I know the author intended for me. I also pay particular attention to the presentation of it. Since there are usually fewer letters and words than a story or article, I place great importance on the spacing, placement and actual choice of letters and words.

My sister in law asked me if I could find my niece, she's two, some Dead Pool pajama's. lol. You can't find little girl Dead Pool pajama's. Trust me. My sister dated someone, who she should have married, but he would pay all his bills and then every week he went to this comic book store and he'd buy all his comic books and toys. It was funny but he was a great guy. This was fun to read

I loved comic books, too, but being a girl, I think my brothers loved them more. I was more into 'Tiger Beat Magazine' which was about music; The Monkees, The Turtles, The Birds, and The Beatles. I think what we read continues to form us, no matter what. The power of the print!

A fine superhero entry, mystery writer.

Sending you my best today and for the contest.

Nice rhythm and love the rhyming scheme. I love comic books too, not to mention that my husband is a comic artist, so no escape.

I like that you gave each superhero his superpower and explained why you like him.
My only suggestion is to add to the list a female superhero, too. :)

I thought about a female too Wonder Woman, Black Canary, and Batgirl would work maybe in my next comic book poem. I also read Blondie, Little Lulu, and Daisy Duck. I appreciate you taking the time to read and review my work.

I use to spend all my allowance on comic books. Other kids on the block bought penny candy. Not me. I loved super heroes, Donald Duck, Katy Keene, Veronica and Betty...I really enjoyed this piece. Brought back some great memories.

I enjoyed your poem using comic book tales and you wove them well through these verses. I hope you've kept them all comics seem to be in big demand again. Good luck in the contest,
cheers

A fun poem that describes what you truly love to do. I know lots of people who still read comics and do it proudly, they are a fun thing to read. Best of luck with the contest.

Your poem manages to be an apology for your wont to read comics and a paean to their heroes.
And - you are also having a great deal of fun with this one. Here's to comic books - they've encouraged a number of kids into reading further, too.

Thank you for reading and reviewing my work. I wasn't apologizing for reading comics, I was celebrating it.

Sorry, it did sound like both the first time around - I just looked at it again and realized I'm wrong. When my son reached the age of comic books - I loved it because it returned me to them. Sorry again.
