Very nice poem and gives one reason to think about life and the work we all do to create each of our lives with the hope of leaving fond memories and perhaps strong legacies behind. Thank you for this thought provoking poem. Photo compliments the poem nicely too!

Wow! What a profound piece and fantastic message. You remind us in brevity that all of us get both no choice in arriving or leaving the planet (well for the most part anyway) but funnily enough it's the deeds we do while we are here and the mark we leave that is how we are remembered. I sincerely agree and could have NOT said it better. Well done. My best read in awhile for short poems. Really loved this and you are too clever. Sixer for you AND I'm bookmarking it!

Even if he did I cannot find any reference to this seer or his saying. Never mind. Perhaps you are the seer in question as it seems both a profound and a reasonably accurate statement to make. Furthermore it is neatly succinct.

This is an interesting free verse which includes strong commentary about life, death and deeds. It will make the readers think about the notions we have for life and death. Many would be able to relate with this. I enjoyed reading it.

Yes, birth and death have dates. What we do in the
middle of our lives can affect others. We should leave
a love legacy. There are many CNN Heroes that have
