This is strong stuff! I remember trying it in my youth and I've not touched a drop since, your story made me smile, although consuming this much is dangerous, passing out is not good. I am sorry for the loss of your good friend, love Dolly x

Yes, thankfully, I did not get sick and I've never had it since either! LOL! thanks so much for stopping and reading. I really appreciate your commenting! We didn't really drink a lot. I probably would have passed out after two sips actually! hahah! and thank you for your condolences. It has been 43 years now, but still miss her dearly.

I was expecting to hear about how sick you were from drinking creme de menthe, but if you weren't you were lucky...and lucky to have memories like this with your friend. I'm sorry to hear of her tragic loss.

Thankfully, I did not get sick. We didn't drink too much, just little sips, but I probably would have passed out after two anyway! haha!

You begin your story with mist and grey clouds with the moon peaking out. This is a great staging and foreshadowing because there are problems but everything turns out all right in the end.
I would only suggest that you give your friend a name - any name - because you are writing a story not history, even if it is based on fact. A name would allow the reader to follow the story smoothly, especially in the fence scene.
Your descriptions of time, place, people and action makes the story believable and fun.
