Yes, but it is so sweet! Night calorie and not good for the heart! I definitely think it is more heavy than light, but you sell it here like it is nectar! So I enjoyed the taste! Love Dolly x

At last!!! Something from outside the box. I LOVED this. So refreshing from these other BORING contest entries. My best friend growing up was Greek and I attended many of her family functions. This brought back delicious and fond memories of that. "It melts and lingers.." Indeed! I'm burning my last sixer that I always save for Saturday for something extraordinary. It's happily yours! Great job. I'm voting for this....right now! Lynda

What a novel entry for this contest. You certainly set my mouth watering. The only problem was that I had to Google it first.
I can well imagine two lovers sharing this delicate dessert before retiring to - ehem the other room.
Best of luck in the contest
hugs

Wow! Many of us have a love of food. Nice twist on a love poem. You made my mouth water with the picture and poem. A wonderful desert that sings to you when you look at and eat it. I liked the flow and pace of this. Hugh

Thank you, Hugh. I hope the committee agrees that this qualifies as a bona fide love poem!

A very well-written light and sweet poem about the sweet treats that we like to eat and can give us a sensation from head to toe when we taste that sweetness tickling our throat.

Thank you for this validating review, Boogienights! Let's home the CEC agrees that it is a valid consideration for the contest.

Romancing the Baclava - interesting take on this rich and favored dessert. Personally I'm not fond of it as it has nuts and those get in the way of a good chew - plus they are very very sweet.
Yet - you show your delight and love for them.
good poem

Never in my life have I said these words, "Oh my! That's too sweet." So, for me, it's a hit. Thanks for the terrific review.

Baklava - my favorite: so rich, gooey, and sweet. Better than blintzes! LOL
Nice rhyming scheme. Do like the taste of your 'sensuous slow-dance' alliteration, 'honeyed coat,' and 'bud tinglers' phrases.
IMHO... other FS reviewers will applaud your food review verse too.

WAY better than blintzes. We'll see if this even GETS to the contest. It's been alluded that it might be disqualified for not being a true romance. (Really? How can you eat baklava and not understand it as a synonym for romance?!) Stay tuned, I guess.

The FS police should be more flexible especially with your baklava allusion. They should applaud poets' ingenuity in writing, not slander their thinking.

I love the artwork you choose to go with your poem They are a perfect match.
Your word captured my attention from the start each word touched my heart and soul but my stomach craved all its desires After reading this Delicious poem I'm about to eat a fruit salad (smile)

I think you may have hit the wrong star choice, Miss Cookie. You hit a "1"; is that what you meant to do? You can change it.
-
oops thank you for bringing it to my attention, I correct the error

This is the kind of love story that I like. You can keep all the slushy romantic nonsense. This poem was a joy to read, especiallly for my tastebuds.
Good luck in the competition. Jen.

The jury is still out on whether or not the CEC agrees that it's a true love poem or not! I'm still thinking it may get disqualified, but we'll see. (Wish you were on the committee!!) Thanks for the really terrific review.
