Ohhh, Lady Yvette!
This touched deep into my core, brought the softest smile, as my eyes brimmed-over.
In the moment, there's too much I'm prone to passionately spiel; so, I'll refrain from further comment

Suffice it to say, "I love it dearly, and pray you win!" ~ Richard : )

You are my bestest fan this week, Sir Richard -- seriously, you have no idea how good a mood you have put me in!! ;) ;) Thank you so much! :) I'm so glad you enjoyed this one, but, you know, it was one of those that I wrote with the Kleenex box right next to the keyboard! :) And, guess what? The Kleenex worked as it did win! :) ;) Thanx so much for being out there, sir!! ;) ;)
And, okay, I can kinda see you in the pic now, but the other two (bearded grinning and seventies grinning) seemed to be more like the man I enjoy corresponding with...! ;) :) Take care! :) Yvette

Jesus, Yvette, I'm crying, of course. What, you thought you could write something like this and not profoundly move your readers? Thanks heaps! (lol) Signing off with this amazingly sad story repeating and resounding throughout the day...

Wow...

Wow, is right, O Lady of the North -- those stars mean the world coming from you on this one, ma'am!! THANK YOU!! :) They mean that my 'attempt' at 'sad' worked... so, I'm happy! :) ;) All sounds a bit convoluted, I guess, but I am so very grateful, Dawn, especially knowing how busy you are these days!! ;) ;) Here's wishing you a great week ahead, ma'am -- take care!! ;) ;) Yvette

Beautiful! I can feel the love she has for her dead husband. It's not sad that she ends her life in the water with him, but happy, for now they will be together, as they were meant to be. Bravo! :)

Oh dear. I was afraid that was what was going to happen. Understandably tragic when a union is that strong, I guess. What a gorgeous write this is. So well done, my talented friend. xo

Okay, so, you're my friend and I'm just gonna level with you here: I don't usually do 'sad'...in fact, this was only supposed to be 'sad' in the beginning....seriously! You know me down here: Fantasy and Romance chick, right?!! ;) :) LOL!!!

Anyways, here goes what I'm not taking the time to explain to others: look up the name 'Arthur Curry' online...like I said in the author notes, I didn't choose the name by accident, twas deliberate. :) ;) So many folks saw this one as her committing suicide...I guess, as an author, I'm glad they enjoyed, buuut, shhhhhhh, that was not the intent! ;) ;) Arthur Curry is a very important name in the realm of us fantasy folks... :) ;) Thanx for dropping in, ma'am, and have a great week! ;) ;) I'll be in touch... :) ;) Yvette :)

Oh man, Yvette...if we weren't competing against each other, you'd definitely have gotten my vote. Your story was unbelievably mesmerizing, first word to the last word. Great job my friend.

A fascinating write Yvette. I can feel the serenity of the beach and the memories.

The pain of losing the beloved Arthur is evident and vividly displayed in the dreamlike state of the bereaved wife/lover.

Nice twist at the end - reality, suicide the reader can decide

This is a beautiful, but poignant, story, YM. Your attention to detail and the way you formatted this makes it truly outstanding. I was engaged from start to finish. I felt as if I were there seeing/hearing this with you. The picture choice is perfect. When paired with your words, the story is memorable although sad. The ending is what I would believe happened. Thanks for sharing and best wishes. Jan

What a great emotionally charged story, the past and present story lines were extremely well executed. The heartache, love, lust and loss were a refined romance cocktail, which is not normally a go to for me but this was... Mmmm... Beautiful ! The ending was priceless. A winner for sure!!!

Oh, Hitch...just wow, man -- you know I read this when it came in (I was a college orientation at the time and then the travels and then there's the fact that I really suck at typing on a phone!!)... aaaannyyyway, you nearly brought tears to my eyes then and you did it again just now -- thank you so very much, sir, for the detail in your review.....I don't really do 'sad' so, this was a 'step out' for me, I guess!! ;) ;) I am so very glad this moved you...was one that I wrote with a box of Kleenex handy - LOL! ;) ;) Thanx for the lovely stars, sir, and take care of you down/over there this week!! ;) ;) Yvette

Very sad writing, Yvette. Love and tragic, a combination to stir the heart and bring the tears. Frogmen have been swimming, saving and dying for our country for a long time, but I never knew that Aquaman was one too. :) This is a good entry for At the Beach contest.
P. S. I forgot to ask did she commit suicide to be with her love

So glad you enjoyed this one, Jose, and that it truly touched you...was one that you write with tears in your own eyes, ya know?!! :) ;) We owe them all for their voluntary service to all of us!! ;) ;) And, in answer to your question, did you read my author notes with the 'wink, wink' reference to the name of Arthur Curry..? Hmmm? I will let that be your answer, sir, since you asked!! ;) ;) Take care over there! ;) ;) Yvette
