This is a very interesting script you have penned. You used very good descriptive words and very good dialogue. I enjoyed reading and reviewing this. Blessings, Teri

I thought Gunny was reaching his 100th birthday. Aren't Dot and TJ the ghosts? This does explain the lilacs and I can guess where TJ is buried now.

Count me among the confused. I think I'm getting that Gunny died, but the only I can make sense of this is that he was taken back in time mentally. I don't think reporters would want to interview a dead soldier. You create a great atmosphere, and the lilacs make a good thread to run through the play. judi

I'm still building this one. False endings are my new drug.

The text is well-written, but I must confess, I'm lost. In the last part of the story, 100-year old Gunny has confessed to killing his brother and now, he died in the war? Really lost here.

Well, I'm not sure whether I'm confused or intrigued, so Tj moved the Lilacs not gunny, gunny died in the war so could not have killed Tj, I can see how Tj and Dot come to have a child as they are now talking about Dot and Gunny having a family when he returns, Alas? very interesting story****kahpot

Maybe one more scene to bring it all together.

Hi Bill. so how I see it is that Gunny has passed away, but somehow he's come back as a spirit or a ghost and is now able to monitor his wife and friend. I may be wrong but I like the idea of it. All the best. Ulla:))

This is rather confusing. Is it meant to be? Who are the dead people here? Has this story gone beyond the grave?
Interesting. Gunny dies on the operating table or is he in a state of comatose?
Regards
Sylvia

Oh you are so sneaky. First you have me thinking that Gunny killed his wife and brother for betraying him, when in fact he kind of pushes them together with his blessings, after he perishes on the operating table.
Or did I thoroughly misread you again? My head hurts.

SURPRISE! Well, now don't that just beat all.... I'm still trying to figure out the whole interview/hospital thing: see, I had Dot and TJ as dead (and ghosts) and all of it in the present. Now, this jump to the past back in Korea...does this mean none of the other stuff ever happened it was just the bullet causing dreams? So, you know I'm the crazy, sci-fi/fantasy blonde, but I'm trying to tie this to the others...? Maybe if this surgery had been in the present, you could 'play' with that angle...? HELP! :) :) ;) Yvette :)

I felt an alternative story line for Dot and TJ would be cool at this point. I included the idea of TJ being buried under the lilacs and a choking reference. I may have had a little 'Jacob's Ladder' thought in the back of my head as well.
