I get so upset when I miss things. I missed this my sister. I'm sorry. Methinks my eyesight is getting worse. :+(
Congratulations on your win for this two line piece. It's marvelous and so is the shadowy artwork.
Sending you my best today as always,
Sal xo

Nah....just these contests are 'blind' which means they don't let you see well (or at least don't help with author identification) - LOL! :) :) Thanx for your smile and warmth as always, Lady Sal -- your support is so very reassuring! ;) ;) Take care and Happy Fourth!! ;) ;) Yvette

Wow! This is pretty deep and thought-provoking. I know a couple people who could use this sage advice. Very well done, Mystery Poet! Good luck in the contest. xo

Love that image! Remember when was growing up in the 1st family household. The scrolled saying in the bathroom, when I still believed, was "Footprints" It's when yours disappear from the scrolled sand, and that, as it says, is when you were carried. This still brings chills to my spine--the fact that, sometimes, the world is out of our hands...

Thank you, John, for this thoughtful review...so glad it was able to touch something in there -- that fact right there really means more than any other review I've received. :) ;) ;) And, you know those chills? They are trying to tell you that it just might not be 'sometimes'.... :) :) Take care of you, John, and be sure to drop by anytime....always something going on 'round here and you'll aways find a comfy chair on the front porch!! ;) ;) LOL! :) Yvette

Overall, this is exceptional. Your color scheme is beautiful and well balanced. Your font style, size and color ... perfect in that it brings the message out forefront. As eyes start with title, glance to artwork, and down towards your 2-liner, all of it flows together, giving strength and meaning to this wonderful entry.
Well done! I wish you the very best in the contest!

Huh. A make-me-think poem. What a jewel, this... I suspect that the layers run deep. I know the message is not a straightforward one. This should do very well in the contest, my friend.

Hello mystery writer. That is really a fine verse you have created. I like the picture that accompanied your verse but I particularly like the words. It is very creative and meaningful.

So simple, but so true! We can't move forward if we're always looking back. Focus on the future without letting our past dim our vision. Food for thought.

A very well-written two-line poem about the way we walk if we do not work towards the sun our shadow will behind us not in front of us, so turn around.

This is a great little entry into the contest, author. It reminds me of the inspirational quote I found online, "Keep your face always toward the sunshine and shadows will fall behind you." Yep, if our shadows are in front of us, we're going the wrong way. Best of luck in the booth. I'm sure it will do very well.

I love t his poem! Never thought of it t hat way, that as I walk into God's Sonlight, there are no shadows. In him there is no darkness at all. Great poem. Good luck with the contest, and happy Independence Day.
