Hello mystery writer. That is a very astute statement. Humility is a rare commodity in this day and age. It's hard to find people that have much of that commodity.

I think your statement at the top is true and also, that's a wonderful accompanying picture - really perfect for your poem.
I, personally, think honesty rather than humility would be more enabling in letting truth be seen. At least that would work better for me, BUT, it is a lovely poem with a beautiful message, and I wish you good luck in the contest.

It's amazing how a humble message can be given in so few words. I like the photo. I see the spirit of sight and touch so vibrantly displayed. Humility, indeed a gift of worthy for a contest entry.

The more that I read this, the more I like it. Pride and arrogance can prevent you from perceiving the truth of a situation. You cannot fully understand another's position if your thoughts are on yourself. You are not open. Your eyes are nearsighted. I like this a lot. I hope the voters take the time to see your words through the proper lens.

This is excellent! I really like that graphic with the person's hand opening the eyelid to better see the world. The lens of humility keeps it clear from ego and puffery so the heart is not distracted and can see the truth. Modesty is an attribute worth cultivating over vanity. Vanity stops people hearing the truth, or even speaking it.
