This is well written and very interesting--it reads like a professional brochure crafted for the State Park. I enjoyed how you went back and forth from promotion to facts to keep the reader's attention. The second last paragraph was a little repetitive and mundane but overall this is an excellent piece .

All the Best!

Hi,

Thank you for sharing this lovely piece extolling the beauty of this park. I think this is a great entry for the Tourist Site contest. I especially loved the last line - too true. The happiest place on earth doesn't always have ducks to feed.

This sounds like an awesome park. I've always wanted to go to Pennsylvania anyway. You've described all of the attractions and activities in a way that makes me want to go. I really like this Earl and enjoyed reading this. Well done!

Top of the morning to you. The descriptiveness through your words created vivid imagery taking the reader to that very location. Makes it sound like a place we should all visit. thanks for sharing. Good work.

And it is probably much cheaper then our 'Happiest Place on Earth' which again has raised their prices for no good reason other than people will pay it. Well not this people. I have never heard of Pymatuning State Park. It sounds amazing with all the things you can do and the wildlife. It is nice to know places like this still exists in our concrete world. It really is amazing what all that unskilled labor managed to build. =} Well done and I hope you do well in the contest.

I like the story. Better yet I am happy to know it is a real park and part of the USA.
I applaud all the accolades you presented the reader. I like the history.
I like learning of other. parks through your writing.
I like that you have given the reader a true vision of the ducks in their own habitats by the photo you presented. I like traveling to the location, where I have yet to visit. I like that you entered the contest. Best wishes

Dear Earl,

I take from this piece that you love this park. You have described its many pleasures. I hope the carp keep growing and the ducks don't gorge on bread.

Cheers,

Winslow

This sounds as if nature has been kind to the area. We have something along the same bordering north Arkansas-South Missouri, Table Rock Lake. Yes, winter brings everything to a halt or it seems that way. Love the idea of camping. I see no mistakes and enjoyed it. Hope you win the contest.

This is well-written and descriptive. Unless I am mistaken, I think the contest calls for a story, i.e. something with people in it. Tell readers about YOUR experience there, weaving the facts into a narrative about what you saw and heard and did and enjoyed. Putting yourself and other people into the piece will make it more engaging to read. Otherwise, you risk looking as if you copied the material from the travel brochure.

Hi Earl
I enjoyed your non-fiction article about Pymatuning State Park. As a Canadian, I personally have never before heard of this place (though I have been to Pennsylvania quite a few times.)

The review of this park was very well written, without being overly descriptive or gushing (which I have found other travel articles to be.) Actually, your description of the park made me interested in visiting it in the future.

I was puzzled with your ending though... "the happiest place on Earth?" Again, not being a travel writer and also, not being an American, maybe I just "didn't get it..."

Overall, I think this article was excellent.
