Nice, I think I'd be inserting Michael Hutchence and INXS into my minds sound system and see what he and them can do with your funky lyrics... YEP, they are all over it.Again friend I say... Nice!!

    Oh, yeah -- that's perfect!! :) ;) And I would not have thought of that one right off the bat, but you are so right on this one...Hutchence's voice would definitely have made this unique with his 'lone wolf with the bourbon finish' and that almost sensual INXS music... oh, yeah! Good choice!! ;) ;) And thanks for these wonderful stars, sir -- made the evening over here just that much brighter!! ;) ;) Take care down over there, Hitcher, and stop by any time.... I might have to pop over and see whatcha got over there! ;) ;) Yvette :)

Revision to first review - Yes now the right purple with the Chorus is there - thank you so much for the clarification - you know some of out here are sometimes color deficient, not blind, just deficient - LOL - also rewriting gave me the chance to spell a word correctly - LOL

There are 4 purples - I can't tell which one is the chorus - LOL - I'm sorry I am color challenged at the moment and I don't mean to make light of this beautiful song but if you could please point out the chorus so I know what repeats that would be awesome! This is great for a Lyrical poem contest entry - I know that it is you MRW and CQ and Beautiful Teacher but I will keep my acknowledgment of your craft and pointing out the purple scandal to a minimum. So I won't use your name... Tee he he!

Also what you wrote to me I am savoring it for many reasons - The advice you gave was stellar - and I can't think of a single more important way to deal with grief than the approach you offered. It isn't that I am snubbing you I am trying to figure out how to say thank you. So it may take me a few days to do that - because basically, you are for me someone that I truly look up to when it comes to your brain, your words, your ability to put a story together and of course your reviewing and editing skills. Be on the lookout for something cool - it is still being thought of as we speak. So no hard deadlines and yes I am still recovering and going daily to the hospital - min. to July 2nd - max - I don't know.

I'm rooting for ya!
Cheers, Fonda

-Good artwork and
presentation, Yvette.
-Your notes are appreciated.
-WOW! This is excellent!
-You really get to the heart
of the song with great verses
and an excellent chorus.
-The imagery is vivid, and
I can picture a scenario like this;
many of us have probably had them.
-I like the opening with the cool,
hot guy that owns the room.
-You make me think this dude
was just in it for the heck of it;
it has all the trappings in this song.
-But I love how you turn it
around at the end!
-I think you have a winner here!
And I wholeheartedly agree that
fire is a one syllable word, just
like poem is a two syllable word-
my thoughts for the day:)

    Oh, Pam, you have lit up my evening, ma'am!! :) ;) My mom was visiting for the past week or so and I put her 'on the road' home this morning....wrote this out on the front porch while I was just doing some thinking and getting myself 'back in gear'....and now you've brightened things up just a bit!! ;) ;) :) This contest really came up at just the right time: opened the listing after mom left and there it was -- songwriting is a 'secret love' of mine...and so this was a great 'distraction' from missing mom! ;) ;) Thank you again, ma'am, and you have a great week ahead! ;) :) Yvette

    You are very welcome and deserving, Yvette. I am glad it brightened your night. It is hard to see a parent leave so I guess you put your heart into this. I didn't know you liked songwriting. I enjoyed conjecturing about this guy you wrote about!! From math teacher to songwriter, maybe?!

Excellent
Not yet exceptional. When the exceptional rating is reached this is highlighted

The rhythm in this song is great and the interplay between the characters is fun. They seem to be made for each other. Regardless, the song is just a rollicking good time.

This rating does not count towards story rating or author rank.
The highest and the lowest rating are not included in calculations.
