Interesting look at this star. I think John Wayne was better, but that's just me.

Sometimes the meter is even, and sometimes not.

I like the way you work in a lot of his films.

I like this ode to Clint. I have to confess that he's one of my favorites. Smooth and tough with a nasty edge to him. It would have been something to see him and the Duke riding together. I grew up watching all of the westerns because my father was a big western fan. I enjoyed reading this well written work and appreciate you sharing it. Well done!

Very clever. . .but there are a few meter problems. Also. . .Eastwood didn't sing Paint Your Wagon, that was Lee Marvin! I know he was in the movie so maybe he did sing as well. . .great movie. :)

I only remembered Lee Marvin singing but of course. . .that was a long time ago. I really like the poem.

I enjoyed this fun little Clint Eastwood piece. He certainly is one of the best in my books. Loved two mules for sister Sarah. Great job on this entry. However, the beginning word It's kind of threw me off a bit. Was it intended?
God bless
Steve

Apparently after starring and directing in The high plains drifter he sent a letter to the best western actor suggesting they make a movie together. The Duke UNFORTUNATELY turned him down, he thought his movies were way to violent.
I am a big western fan and have seen all the movies you cleverly highlighted in your tribute poem. Pale Rider and the Outlaw Josey Wales would have to be two of my all time favorites. good luck!

Thank you very much. He should have the Duke pick the script and produce it, we're talking Oscar there. I appreciate you taking the time to read and review my work.

Clint Eastwood is one of the most greatest action actors ever in Hollywood history. He paved the way for western movies. Nice of dedication to him. Good luck in the contest!

This is an excellent entry in this western poetry contest. I remember Clint Eastwood as Rowdy Yates in Rawhide, sung by Frankie Laine. Boy he was young then. But he's made some great movies since, and you've blended them perfectly in this, articulatey scribed and smooth quatrained aabb rhymed classic well done, good luck, blessings Roy ,

I too like clint...although I'm more of a fan of his Dirty Harry movies. I loved the Good, the Bad, and the ugly. You have written a nice piem that helps us reminisce. Thanks for sharing.
