You made your own day with this tribute--congratulations on winning the western-themed, poetry contest. I enjoyed your rhymed quatrains and cleverly weaving in the movie titles. Big cheers- Joan

Congratulations on your win. Yep, Clint is pretty great. I don't remember Rowdy Yates, but I've seen the rest of them. Don't you think sister sara should have capitals? Yeah, it would have been awesome if he'd starred alongside John Wayne.

My goodness, that's some fine western writing. I believe Clint would have loved to be in a movie the Duke. The barfight would have been spectacular! Congrats on the win!

Have a great day, and God bless.

A nice visit with an old friend. Rowdy Yates was a regular Friday night visitor on our black and white TV. And his spaghetti westerns were so much fun! Great stuff, nice salute.

Hello Earl
First of all my heartiest congratulations on winning the contest with this remarkably well-narrated ode to Clint Eastwood, one of my favourite western actors. Well done!

excuse my language but clint eastwood was a badass,if not in western also in action. as a kid growing up i used to admire his western films. your poem was great not only in its writing but also its creativity. thanks for the read. "your so vein" means mood or humor.

I know someone who would have loved to see this poem, unfortunately, he is no longer on the earth to read, but I am reading it out loud and relaying it for a few more minutes! Very skillful this poem Mr. Corp. and the way you highlighted it was well executed! I really enjoyed that! I must confess, I only came across it because of the win and my slow to get back on the horse so to speak from surgery and recovery! I had to review though because I knew a man once, who I cherished, he was a huge Clint, but even bigger John Wayne fan! I think you might if there is another western category hit his famous movies too! LOL - Excellent! It also didn't hurt that I used to work for Blockbuster back in the day and so the movies were a big perk of the job. I wish I had a six to give and so I must offer my VIRTUAL SIX! Cheers, Fonda

Thank you for the virtual six. If you go into my portfoluo and look in my book OMG I Wrote a Poetry Book there is a poem I wrote "I Learned I Watching John Wayne".
I appreciate you taking the time to read and review my work.

I love this tribute to Clint Eastwood, but the rhymes feel forced--IMO, it would have better to abandon the rhyme altogether, or to try keep the line length more consistent. It's definitely a crying shame he never rode with John Wayne!
