This septoplet, Evening's Farewell, has the proper formatting and finds the sounds of the night are knitting up the darkness as they too fade to black. Nice.

A very well-written Septolet about the sunset when the sun says farewell ando evening starts with creatures of the night coming out and the nightingale sings her aria.

A lovely scenario you have painted in a few short lines depicting a symphony at dusk. The sights and sounds that gently lull us into a state of peace. And all is right with the world. Thanks for sharing...time to go to bed.

How beautiful, Yvette!!! I feel the tranquility of the moment. The twilight is falling and that peaceful feeling is stealing over the house. The day is done and all is well.

I've never tried this short form, so I can't comment on technique except to say the poem follows contest rules.

As regards content, this is a lovely, evocative write on the sights and sounds of dusk.

Also a picture of falling asleep if you focus on stretch and silence. Both the weary personified day drifting into the silence of night, and people preparing for bed..

The image is gorgeous. Pitch perfect!

Excellent work. You paid careful attention to every word and to all the tiny details of presentation.

Best of luck in the contest.

Blessings, Julia

I don't know much about this style, but with a few words your image from dusk to night, I can view in my mind. It is a Mona Lisa smile, beautiful and mysterious. Thank you Yvette for sharing.

Good morning, Jose!! ;) ;) So glad you enjoyed this one, my friend.... the prompt example seemed way too..too...plain - needed some life breathed into it -- so, of course, I took it up as my personal crusade to do so! ;) ;) Thanx for the review, sir -- take care today! :)

"Hello darkness my old friend" is playing in my mind as I finish reading your lovely, moody poem, and I sigh with contentment. What a lovely septolet! It should do swimmingly in the booth!

Even natures' symphony eventually succumbs to nighttime. But somehow, this is when my mind is noisiest! I wonder why! This is a beautiful description, and the accompanying picture is perfect. Best wishes in the contest!
