I hope you've put this into a frame and bestowed it upon this love of your life. She will smile forever after, I am sure. Such a lovely tribute this is, with an easy-flowing cadence and good rhyming pattern. I hope it does well for you in the contest, but even if it doesn't it's a FABULOUS write. Good luck. xo

    I wrote this and many others for her. After sixty years of marital bliss, she passed away. I wrote this in 1982. She would always ask me how a dress looked on her, I would tell her, "Honey, you would look good in a toe sack," She's been gone four years now. Lonely.

This is an excellent poem in verse and meter and it also expresses the timelessness of love. Love doesn't change when the hair color does. The romantic descriptions are very subtle yet beautiful. I like the poem very much. It's very good.

I understand the feelings you're expressing in this poem. I feel the same about my wife Anna. Your poem rhymes, makes sense, and it invokes emotions within the reader. Good luck in the contest.
