This well-written minute poem movingly tells of loneliness and longing,
of reaching out in the night for one no longer there. The artwork is haunting.

You state the status of love relation continues even after cold and pain, but after the farewell, your love did not allow you to go leaving her under the grave; well said, well done. Write to inspire, change -- DR ALCREATOR

So poignantly beautiful. It's a fear any of us who love our spouse hopes never comes true. Oy. You did such a perfect job peeling back each layer here, Yvette, and then, like reaching the heart of the onion, you made us cry. A memorable piece, indeed. xo

Wow, Lady Rachelle -- your words are humbling, ma'am... truly. You know, as I cut/pasted this one from the file and imported the pic [remember, I actually wrote/picked out the pics for most of these back around the end of April - lol!] I thought to myself... "wow, Yvette, that's quite a depressing one"!! But it is what it is... emotion is emotion in poetry, right? :) :) I am so glad you feel that it works -- your input means a lot!! ;) ;) Thank you! ;) Yvette :)

We can't be perky and effervescent ALL the time! That would be play-acting, and you are far too real. You're upbeat and positive, yes, but you're also not afraid to address and bring to the table emotionally unnerving subjects, too. That makes me adore you.

And, besides, isn't it wonderful to be just as good at the deep stuff as you are at the fun writes?!

I hope you're enjoying your free times this week. xo

This is beautiful and deeply insightful, the painting resembling you. I've only been given a glimpse into your life in recent months, but is there truth in this? I am always so sorry when someone has lost a loved one. I know what that is like many times over. I have my husband though and can't imagine losing the one I love the most. My only critique is maybe lighten the format color, it was a little hard to read. I don't want anyone to miss this.
Always my best,
Sally xo

Naaah... this one was written when I just had a lot of emotions and other things going on so I pulled from those... I've been with David now for almost 30 years and, although I can't imagine what it would be like without him next to me, it seems we're stuck with each other for quite a bit longer.......Lord willing! ;) ;) Thanx for the review, Lady Sal -- Take care! ;) ;) Yvette

There are so many things that can hold us captive long after their ship has sailed, and we think we spot it over the port bow, thinking with regret. And yet we journey back to those days that now avoid us. A beautfully written, reflective poem, the words poignant. The incidental thing of the perfectly scribed minute poem, which takes second place to the narrative, the vehicle that carries Rose. Well done Yvette, excellent job, blessings, Roy

Wow! Very sad poetry, Yvette, but very well written I might add.

I loved this last stanza:
"These years after I said farewell,
Your graveside spell
Won't let me go -
You're all I know . . ."

Blessings, Bob
