A great poem! A mother's work is never done! I remember those days, in fact I'm still in these days since we are raising our granddaughter and she is 15 so it's play practice then baton class. Keeps me young though,

This is a really refreshing slant on this prompt, and you displayed it perfectly: Love is in the DOING way more than in the "saying." Excellent job here, Mystery Writer. I bet this is going to do so well in the contest. Good luck to you. xo

Well, you're doing quite well in the poll, so I not the only one who's "getting it," Miss Talent!! : )

Hi Yvette. I enjoyed reading your tribute to motherhood and all of her sacrifices. I would mention that the prompt asks for 10 stanzas with each couplet rhyming. All of the other entries have 10 stanzas, but yours does not. Just wondering.

Thanx for the heads-up, Melissa -- fixed now... I read it as 'ten lines' (i.e., only the five stanzas) - happens, I suppose!! ;) ;) Glad you have my back!! :) ;) Take care and thanx again! ;) Yvette

A very wel-written love poem and there is very little that can compare to a mother's love that keeps on giving and never asks for any returns always ready for the next move.

Good job on this contest entry. And so true - sounds like our place when kids were growing up - for that matter, life still gets awful busy around here, even tho we're retired.
I liked the poem.

What a fitting tribute to mums everywhere . You have summed up a mother's Day perfectly. Maybe with q few more lines available , you could have drawn attention to the fact that it all starts again the next day

The busy days for Mum and this is how I think of my daughters who both lead very busy lives juggling work with family and manage to do such an amazing job, your words ring with truth and they are a joy to read, love Dolly x

You have written about a different view of love. Most people think love is romance. Most love is not. As a girl told me many many years ago, "Love is a tennis score." I didn't appreciate it but I understood it. You met the rhyming formula so that and the message deserve 5 stars -Robert-

Even as a father, I could relate to this pleasant read. I like the rhyme in the list of a busy schedule, which pretty much sums up my entire existence almost every week. It even gave me a nice laugh as to the relatable and humorous bustle of a parent. Nicely presented. Thank you for sharing.
