This seven-word poem, Poetic Reality, says a lot in a few words. These remind me that, to have a point, means that you will pierce only a small spot in the collective receptivity.

Well voiced. So true. An apt theme for Fanstorians to ponder. Good entry for the contest. Fine presentation. Good flow and consonance of P. Clever personification. Good luck!

Dear Author,
I agree with your excellent contest entry, "Poetic Reality", and your picture of Kandinsky's painting work works well with your poem. Poetry, an aspect of culture, is subjective in many of our responses--not objective--and thus, we may deem it 'not our language'.
My best,
Deborah

Dear contest entrant,
I believe this with all my heart, and have to keep it in mind a lot these days. This is a great entry and I see a couple of layers in it. For example, the poem may not speak to you, but that doesn't make it a bad poem. Also, it may not relate to your life experience or be to your usual taste of structure, but the words might please you even if you have no understanding of their meaning.
Well done!

I'm so glad that 'got me' on this one, LG ... it is very disheartening to see some folks 'down-rating' poems because they simply don't like the position or opinion the author took/feels. Good heavens - if we all wrote and felt the same way, what a boring world that would be: like going to an art museum and having every picture and/or sculpture be exact duplicates (or maybe same but in different colors/textures) of all the others!! YUCK! :) :) If a poem 'rubs you the wrong way', just skip it! :) ;) Just not that difficult, ya know? :) ;) Anyway -- so glad to know this one 'rubbed you the right way'... LOL! Take care!!

LOL. I was happy to discover you were the author of this great work.

I agree. Every poem speaks its own language. That's one of the beauties of poetry. Written through the poet's filter, the words and concepts are often perceived differently through the reader's filter. Excellent seven word entry. Good luck. Hugh

These seven words are so true. Poems can mean different things to different people. And every poet has his/her life experience so has a different creative voice and words.
Good luck in the contest. Keep writing

A very well-written seven word poem. Like any other art form each artist and poet has their own unique style in which they are writing, drawing, or painting, we cannot always understand it but we can appreciate their work.

This is a true statement. With so many different forms and styles of writing, I'm sure that their are some styles that don't appeal to everyone. I like this and the message conveyed. Well done!

That is so true. What makes sense to one poet, isn't to another. We must accept this, or we can end up in odds with everyone. Well done, this is really well done. Good luck. :) Sandra xxx
