This seven-word poem, I Wish, says a lot in a few words. Parents, as seen by others, are compared to their own. Without knowing them, we must accept the best or worst examples and find our happy medium.

Awe, what a sad yet sweet sentiment conveyed in this. I imagine that this is something that plagues your heart and mind constantly. What ifs and what could have beens come to mind. What kind of relationship would you have had together and the things that you've missed out on without her. You've made excellent use of your words sharing a strong message in this. I feel like the words beg the question: is this from an adopted person seeking the biological parent? Does it have a deeper meaning that I am totally missing and clueless about? Therefore, it left me 'hanging' - although that might not be the word I really want! I guess the 'so many unanswered questions' is a very apt description of the brief poem. Perhaps that was the intent from the beginning.

Excellent contest entry - all seven words designed to have an impact as they unleash a host of questions and scenarios. Since you haven't met your mother, there are many possibilities if your wish came true. The seven words would be an excellent opening sentence for a story or novel.
